About Tiana Connolly

Hello! I’m Tiana, a PGCE English student at Queen’s University, with a degree in English with Education. I have a strong passion for English and education and love helping students discover their confidence and potential within the subject.

I believe learning is never about knowing everything. Every new idea, challenge and mistake is an opportunity to grow. My aim is to make English feel accessible, engaging and enjoyable, while helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

As a tutor, I create a friendly, supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their ideas and challenging themselves. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to their individual needs, abilities and goals.

Whether your child needs support with English skills, comprehension, creative writing, exam preparation or simply building confidence in the subject, I will work closely with them to identify areas for development and help them make steady progress.

My experience studying English with Education, alongside my current PGCE training, has given me a strong understanding of both the subject and effective teaching approaches. I am passionate about helping students not only improve their academic skills, but also develop a genuine enjoyment and appreciation for English.
