About Mel Moody
Hi, I’m Mel – the face behind the business!
With a degree in Drama, I love making learning as interactive and enjoyable as possible. My passion for education comes from my own love of learning, and I’m proud to share that enthusiasm with all our wonderful pupils through our fantastic team of tutors.
As the founder of Learn with Mel, I personally train and support all of our tutors to ensure we maintain the high standards that our families expect from us. At Learn with Mel, we believe that confidence is the foundation of learning – when students feel confident, it ignites a love of learning, which in turn supports real progress and achievement.
Alongside running Learn with Mel, I work as a post-primary nurture teacher specialising in SEN and as a GCSE English teacher. In the past, I have worked as an examiner for CCEA and offer online revision sessions for GCSE English – so keep an eye on our website and social media for updates.

📍📍 Tutors Travel to You
Our tutors travel to pupils’ homes across Bangor and surrounding areas. Travel distance is at each tutor’s discretion and will be confirmed when they contact you after booking.
If you’re unsure whether your area is covered, please get in touch before booking.
💳 Your booking fee covers your first two sessions (excluding travel fee)
⚠️ You only need to book once!
Simply choose one available day and time that suits you. You do not need to book multiple weeks.
Once your booking has been made, your tutor will contact you to confirm your start date and ongoing weekly slot. Your space will then be secured for all future sessions.
If you require tutoring in more than one subject, please make a separate booking for each subject.
