About Lisa Croker

I currently work full time in a primary school as a 1:1 SEN Classroom Assistant, supporting children with a range of learning needs and helping them reach their full potential. Working closely with pupils every day has given me valuable experience in understanding how children learn, how to adapt teaching to suit individual needs, and how to build the confidence that allows them to thrive.

Helping children succeed has always been a passion of mine. I believe that learning should be engaging, supportive, and enjoyable, and I focus on creating a calm, positive environment where children feel comfortable to ask questions, try new things, and celebrate their progress. Building confidence is at the heart of my approach, because when children believe in themselves, their learning truly begins to flourish.

As both a parent of three and a school professional, I understand the challenges that primary school children (and their parents) can face. I recognise the pressures of school life and aim to provide support that reduces stress while helping children develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

My tutoring sessions focus on the child as an individual. I encourage pupils to actively engage with their learning, ask questions, and work through challenges together with me. I see tutoring as a partnership between tutor, child, and parent, where every step forward – no matter how small – is celebrated.

My goal is to create a safe, effective, and inspiring learning environment where children feel happy, motivated, and proud of their achievements. Through patience, encouragement, and dedication, I am committed to helping every child grow in both confidence and ability.
