About Connie Allen

I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence in Maths and Physics, drawing on my academic background, including a Master’s degree in Physics with Astrophysics. These subjects have played an important role throughout my education and continue to be part of my professional journey as I pursue a career in aviation.

Alongside tutoring, I currently work as a play worker in a children’s after-school club, where I support and engage with young people in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. This experience has helped me develop strong communication skills and an understanding of how different students learn, allowing me to tailor my teaching to suit each individual.

I believe Maths and Physics are not just important academic subjects but practical skills that appear in everyday life. As someone who enjoys creative hobbies such as sewing and knitting, I often find myself using equations and problem-solving techniques that I first learned at school.

I also understand that these subjects can sometimes feel daunting. When I was at school, I benefited from having a Maths tutor myself, and that support played a big role in helping me succeed and continue my studies in these areas. Because of that experience, I know how valuable the right guidance can be.

My goal as a tutor is to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and provide students with the practice and encouragement they need to truly understand the material. There is nothing I enjoy more than helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and realise that with the right explanation and support, Maths and Physics can become much more approachable and even enjoyable.
